What happens
after the diagnosis?
The diagnosis is like a pitstop, not the finish line. There is help out there - but the everyday can still feel hard. We're building the part that comes after: the rest of your life.
Wiith is a digital community built for people living with a diagnosis, starting bipolar disorder, where you can find and share the stories and experience that actually help with everyday life. Not medical advice. Not crisis support.
Wiith is live today in Denmark under the brand MitLivMed. This page introduces the product and organisation in English - sign-up and community access run through mitlivmed.dk.
Support fades exactly when everyday life begins
Most people with bipolar disorder find that support tapers off once the first round of treatment is over. That long stretch afterwards is the gap Wiith is built for.
People in Europe live with bipolar disorder
The median 12-month prevalence across European studies is 0.9%.1
People across the EU
Our own estimate: 0.9% of roughly 450 million EU residents. Worldwide, WHO counts 36 million people with bipolar disorder.2
People in Denmark, where we start
Estimated by the Danish Bipolar Database, which also finds that most people see support decline after initial treatment.3

"I'm so tired of explaining myself to people who don't get it."
Stories and experiences shared on Wiith are personal - they don't represent a guaranteed outcome for anyone else.
It's a set of landscapes most people recognize and walk in between
One journey in three landscapes: from the diagnosis (the Desert), through everyday life (the Forest), to giving back (the Mountain).
The Desert
Something feels off. You can sense it before you can name it. You're not alone while you find the words.
The Forest
Most of life with the diagnosis is lived here: days you feel steady, days that feel heavy, and days you just follow the path.
The Mountain
You know your own patterns and needs. If you want to, your story can become a light for someone else, too.
We're building Wiith around how you actually process things
Your landscape - Desert, Forest, or Mountain - is only part of the picture. People also take in and process things differently. One person feels most at home in the community, reading and replying to stories. Another wants to see their own patterns laid out, almost like a graph, before it clicks. Neither is more "recovered" than the other.
Story & community-led
You get there by hearing how other people worked through it - through the feed, the library, and conversations that feel human.
Structure & pattern-led
You get there by seeing your own data and patterns laid out clearly, then working through them with the Program's self-help tools.
Fine-tuned, not finished
We're actively tuning Wiith's personalization so it adapts to how you learn, rather than asking you to adapt to it. This is ongoing work, not a finished feature.
Together, we work on the same three problems
Finding deeper insight
"3 tips for…" rarely helps when your life has changed. What you need is nuance and context - stories that go a layer deeper, so you can understand yourself and your situation, not just optimize your routine.
Finding the right community
Most support groups are either too broad or too random. You can be standing in one very specific place and still feel alone. What's needed is people who actually recognize where you are - no need to explain everything from scratch.
Finding what's actually relevant
Online, there's endless content. But with limited energy, most of it becomes noise - repetitive, shallow, or badly timed. You need help finding what makes sense right now, in language you understand, without doomscrolling.
What you'll find in the product
Community
A safely moderated peer feed where members share posts and photos, and respond with real support - not generic likes, but reactions like "here with you" or "same here" - with full reply threads underneath.
Events & feed
A simple, honest calendar of what's actually happening next - online community meetups and in person gatherings, surfaced right in your feed. Add your own event, and others can join in - assisted by moderators.
Program
A guided space built around 17 practical tools and exercises used within NGOs for 70+ years - grouped around motivation, self-mastery, triggers, and everyday life balance - that turn into a focused conversation whenever you pick one.
Self-help chat
A chat that helps you learn about self-help. Ask how a Program tool works, and it walks you through the exercise at your own pace. It can also point you to the article, video, or community post that fits what you're looking for.
Articles
Long-form, first-person stories from members and the founding team - organized by topic: newly diagnosed, treatment, sleep, stigma and language, relationships, coping strategies, and more.
Videos
Real video testimonials from members and the founding team, short and long form, with comments and the option to save or share what resonates with you.
Gallery
A space for member-made creative work - painting, photography, handcraft, poetry, and songs - for anyone who processes life with bipolar disorder through making things.

Lived experience in the team
Our CEO and our editor both live with bipolar type 1. Our moderators and community lead build every space with the people it is for.
Already live in Denmark
The community runs today as MitLivMed, with a library of more than 100 articles and 20 interviews. The next step is to carry it into the EU.
And, just as important, what it isn't
-
A safe digital community for people with a diagnosis.
We share lived experience through videos and posts, focused on what has actually helped in everyday life.
-
For anyone who wants support and recognition after diagnosis.
Maybe you're looking for hope, recognition, or just someone who's been there before.
-
Something you can use on your own terms.
You don't have to share anything yourself. Follow along, learn, reflect, or contribute - you decide.
-
Moderated content, every time.
Everything is reviewed against guidelines from mental health professionals, so the experience stays safe and respects your privacy.
-
Not (yet) for family and friends.
Loved ones are welcome down the line - we're working on something more tailored for them.
-
Not therapy or treatment.
Wiith is a community and self-help tool exclusively. It doesn't replace your clinician.
-
Not medical advice.
We can't assess your situation, diagnose, or recommend medication.
-
Not crisis support.
We can't help in an acute crisis. If you need help right now, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line.
A supportive, confidential and safe community
Exclusively for people with bipolar, available across the country.
Moderated
An incident log and a fixed duty roster, built on more than 15 years of experience moderating groups.
Data in the EU
Your information is stored in the EU, not in the US.
GDPR
The community is set up to follow the GDPR rules.
Your choice
Be active or passive, online and at events. You set the pace, always.
Wiith is peer support and community, not crisis support and not medical advice, and it does not replace your clinician. Stories and coping suggestions are members' own experiences. Built by MitLivMed ApS, a social enterprise rather than an association: we build what we ourselves felt was missing.
A few honest answers
Is Wiith free?
Yes. Joining the waitlist and the community is free - there's no subscription.
Is this therapy or treatment?
No. Wiith is a community and self-help tool, not a clinical service. It doesn't replace your clinician, and we can't diagnose, assess your situation, or recommend medication.
Is my privacy protected?
All content is moderated against guidelines set with mental health professionals, and everything runs under our Danish privacy and cookie policies, linked in the footer below - on EU-based servers, for a sovereign, end-to-end setup.
What if I'm in crisis right now?
Please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line instead. Wiith is not built or staffed for acute crisis support.
Is Wiith only available in Denmark?
For now, yes - we're starting with bipolar disorder here, with plans to expand across the EU and to other conditions over time.
